Dear faithful readers, during the last photo shoot my camera stopped working. It has never given me any trouble, but it is older and suppose it needed a break. As of right now I’m not sure what this means for Immer Wachsen. From the very beginning of this blog’s concept I have prayed through and dedicated it to the Lord. A conviction for reforming and reclaiming the health food community for Christ has always been the purpose behind the blog. Not too long ago I would have been so upset about my camera not working. But I’m not the least bit concerned, because I know it is God’s will. He has blessed my efforts beyond what I could have imagined, and I trust that if it is His will for me to continue He will provide. That being said, I hope to return sooner rather than later, but I’m putting my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to fulfill His perfect purpose in this situation : )

  1. Your blog is a blessing :) I was actually looking to purchase a camera, but the Lord told me now is not the time. I trust that He will meet my desires in His time. With that being said, I have a friend who I was going to purchase my camera from. But since I’ve decided not to purchase it, I suspect he still has it. I don’t believe he has sold it this quickly. He was selling a Canon 40D ( for a reasonable price. It however, does not have a lens, so you would need to get one of those and he referred me to a decent one that is under 200 dollars ( I’m in Austin, Texas and so is he. If you are interested and are financially able to negotiate between 4-500 dollars, I would be more than happy to refer you :) I pray so! Because I love your blog :)

    Blessings to you!

  2. Well, I don’t think this will mean anything to you, but the planet Mercury is in retrograde, and that usually means weird things happen to our equipment that have anything to do with communication.

I don’t share your faith, but I do like your recipes and photos.

    Please don’t give up.

My digital SLR also broke, so I am shooting film for my classes.

If anything, you can use your cell phone cam, yes, I know it is not always the same as our high res SLR’s but, it will help you adjust to the low tech and is a good humble practice.

I am enjoying my film shooting, shaking my can, and hanging the negs in my shower.

Yes, I know B&W is not good for shooting food, but, I learned to adapt.

You have a lot of good creative talent. I bet you can shoot with anything and keep this blog alive.

  3. Isis: Thanks for the suggestions :) I do have a film camera and have considered using it for the blog. I’m hoping I can come up with more posts starting in May. Thanks for your support and encouragement!

  4. Let me know if you need any help? I have done really interesting things with cell phone cams and even sold a book cover I shot with a 3 mega pix point and shoot.

It’s not the camera that takes good photos, it’s your wonderful creative mind! <3
