Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum

Over the summer A, K,…wait, I’m going to start using real names. Starting over…Over the summer Anneke, Katherine, little Esther, and I took a field trip to the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in order to step back in time. Tucked away in quaint Two Rivers, Wisconsin is the coolest print shop (at least that I’ve ever been to). With a fascination for type and everything old and traditional, the trip was overwelhmingly awesome. It’s such a shame I hadn’t bought my camera yet :/ So my cell phone was my only option. Lord willing, after I graduate, I’ll take a trip back to Two Rivers and intern at the museum. We’ll see :)

And here are some noteworthy words as of late:

“Ease and luxury…do not make for maturity;
hardship and struggle however do…”
J.I. Packer

“The Truth is, God is far more interested in our holiness than in our immediate, temporal happiness…The Truth is, it is impossible to be holy apart from suffering…We say we want to be like Jesus, and then we resist the very instrument God chooses to fulfill that desire.”
Nancy Leigh DeMoss Lies Women Believe

  1. You can almost smell a place like that straight through the photos. *smile* That last quote is so true! It’s a lesson God impressed upon my heart last year during a difficult time, and one which I am too apt to forget. Thanks for posting the reminder.
