Totally random post, but I thought someone out there may find it helpful :) I was at a design conference last week and both of my hotel roommates got headaches at one time or another. I offered them some turmeric capsules and then I got the idea that I should share this odd practice of capsule making on my blog. Capsulizing your own supplements is cost effective and gives you the freedom to make any kind of supplement you can imagine. I am no where near a doctor, or the FDA, or even a nutritionist, so make capsules at your own risk ;)
This capsule making adventure started years ago when I attempted The Amazing Liver and Gall Bladder Flush for the third time. I knew the cleanse was effective and worthwhile, but drinking epsom salts water was the last thing I wanted to experience again. So I capsulized the epsom salts :) Now more recently I heard about all the benefits of high dosage turmeric, so I started capsulizing it and taking about 8 capsules a day. Wow. Pretty much changed my life. It does many things, but two huge benefits are that it is an anti inflammatory and balances hormones, both of which most people need all the time. The other regularly capsulized substances are kelp (removes toxins, especially protects against radiation), cinnamon (balances blood sugar), and cayenne. I capsule of cayenne every morning on an empty stomach and I’ve only had one little cold in the last year. That stuff is super potent and is also anti inflammatory. All of these supplements are really food, but if you want to consume high dosages it can be challenging to put all of that on meals throughout the day…especially kelp.
If you’re wondering about the actually capsulizing process you can purchase a Capsule Machine on Amazon as well as empty capsules on VitaCost. Hopefully this was helpful information and not too weird :) Let me know if you have any questions.
